Meet Michael

Michael Eckels Jr. is a lifelong member of Harford and Cecil Counties and a candidate for Maryland House of Delegates in District 35A. He is running because rising costs for housing, groceries, and utilities are putting serious pressure on working families in the community. Michael believes the people who hold our communities together — farmers, teachers, and first responders — need stronger direct support and investment. His campaign focuses on lowering the cost of living, providing tax relief, and expanding access to subsidized housing for seniors and vulnerable residents. He wants to utilize renewable energies to generate job growth, lower energy cost and reduce our climate impact. He is running to build a more affordable, supportive, and sustainable future for the people who call this region home.
